Fort Adams Wedding in Newport Rhode Island

Let’s just start with some basics: KK and Andrew give me life. They’re so in love, and they were such a joy to photograph. This whole day felt like something out of a magazine.

We started the day getting ready at the bride’s home in Newport, Rhode Island and then went down the road to a friend’s house for first look. When we arrived, we spotted the most gorgeous flowering tree on the property. The tree was covered in white blossoms and a cascade of petals had fallen to the ground, creating a blanket of dreamy white. It was like summer snow.

The couple married at Saint Augustine’s Church in a ceremony officiated by Father Pascal, a monk who was a former teacher of the bride (and me too!)

We then moved to Ida Lewis Yacht Club where we boarded a small yacht and sailed away to the reception at Fort Adams State Park. This historic park is a former US Army post that was active starting in the late 1800’s and was still in operation until the mid 50’s. Today, it serves as an event venue and public historic attraction.

This wedding was so Newport: elegant, fun, and it felt like home. I hope you love the photos as much as I do!
