When my friend, Mike, reached out to me a little over a year ago and asked if I would be interested in photographing his wedding I was through the moon! We've known each other since our college days and I've always been impressed by how smart, talented, and witty he is. He's just one of those guys who lights up a room as soon as he walks in. And when I got to finally meet Jess? Well she just might shine brighter than him ;) She's a passionate and gifted educator who loves vegan cooking, literature, and artisan goods. These two are a perfect match, and their love story could bring a tear to the eye of even the most hardened sceptic.
We got together a few months ago to catch up on life and to talk wedding plans. These two share so many passions and they really wanted their day to reflect who they are as a couple. They told me all about their plans to host their intimate wedding at their home on Cape Cod with the ceremony in the front yard and the reception in the back. I'm happy to report that they totally nailed it! Themes of literature, golf, art, education, and cooking were all subtly woven into their warm September wedding. Every detail of the day was provided by an incredible collection of local vendors. This intimate wedding was an absolute dream...
