A hot wedding day at Charles River Museum of Industry

Elizabeth and Jonah got married this July at The Charles River Museum of Industry in Waltham Massachusetts. Their wedding day was the hottest day of the year- it got up to 106 in Boston! We were lucky to have spent the day at such an incredibly interesting (and air conditioned!) event space. The building was originally constructed as a textile mill and today houses a collection of artifacts from the American Industrial Revolution.

Elizabeth and Jonah brilliantly combined the industrial nature of the venue with their passion for horticulture. Large sunflower pots were brought in to add some seasonal pop of color. The centerpieces were small window-box style herb gardens that were created by the groom and filled with chives, rosemary, basil, leafy greens, and cilantro. Guests were given a variety of small seed packs to plant in their own gardens as favors.

Enjoy!
